About Cesar Garcia Carrera

This exclusive micro-lot consists of a very small parchment delivery from Isaac Cesar Garcia Carrera.

San Isidro Zoquiapam is a remote community located in the dense, mountainous terrain of the La Cañada region of Oaxaca, near the border with Veracruz. This region receives most of its climate from the Gulf of Mexico rather than the Pacific, meaning more rain and humidity throughout the year and a challenging processing environment for specialty coffee. The cherry tends to ripen much slower here compared to other regions of Oaxaca and drying properly is a central challenge. But when things come together and managed correctly, this area is capable of producing some of the very best cups in all of Mexico. La Cañada has recently gained notoriety through winning or placing high in several regional coffee competitions with international cupping panels, and as such started to see the effect of higher price premiums for quality.
