We’re ready to dig into Mexico’s 2026 season starting with Veracruz. These coffees are year-over-year crowd pleasers from Coatepec and Las Lomas, versatile for high-end blends, standalone drip or espresso spots, or double-duty.
This year’s crop has been mid-sized, with excellent quality. Harvest is running steadily through February and into March. We’re on the ground moving with the harvest cycle, executing intense QC as always to ensure that everything runs according to spec. We’re at the ready to truck fresh lots over the border into Texas ASAP with ability to reposition into coasts as contracted. This early movement and readiness was a huge part of our ability to deliver here last year, and we’re keeping that approach rolling.
We expect these coffees to hit the road in early March, with deliveries beginning in April. Pricing is time-sensitive.
Profiles
Offerings are structured, balanced, clean, sweet, and versatile, with a distinct syrupy mouthfeel. They shine with notes of dried cherry, rich caramel, dark chocolate, as well as a brightness like ruby red grapefruit—ideal for your spring and summer menu.
Veracruz, Coatepec, & Las Lomas
Veracruz runs on a unique model in Latin America: instead of producers processing their coffee out of cherry and selling it in parchment, they sell cherry to wet mills for processing, much like in many East African origins. Profiles are clean, but often the extra time in cherry confers additional sweetness that helps define the singular profile of Veracruz coffees.
Coatepec holds its own interesting dynamic: while altitudes aren’t as high as we see in many other subregions, latitude is higher—meaning nights are longer and cooler, just like at higher altitudes, leading to ideal cherry development.
